This is a modernized Mackle. The owners have taken that gray and white look that’s so popular with the new block-shaped houses and applied it to a Mackle. I’ve been telling people this is how you do modern on Key Biscayne ever since it was remodeled.

Oh, and technically I don’t think this design was a Mackle house, but I just tend to call all the original houses Mackles.
Glad to see this article. The house looks great! Wish more people would renovate and remodel instead of demolishing.
