Leave your suggestions for the Oasis here
On the show last night we were told that the Oasis was willing to hear out people’s suggestions on how to improve the experience. Are the complaints about the Oasis grounded in reality or is it a bunch of Key Rats resisting change? Here’s your chance to express your concerns.
I’ll start it off by saying that the place is cleaner than it ever was, which is a good thing. Leave your suggestions in the comments below.
Update: I just got a call from the owner of Oasis. We’ll be welcoming him on the show this coming Monday (2/20) to talk about the Oasis.
I like the new water cooler, but Lalo looks more sad. I sympathize with Oasis Conservatives (OasiCons), because I like a little rat poo in my croqueta, but I think it’s time to man up and embrace change.
Also, what that guy ^ said: Dentist Las Vegas.

Goddammit, who the hell is complaining about the Oasis? The goddamn place took new management and they’re putting in a real goddamn effort. Need I remind you that goddamn shit hole was closed down in the past due to health concerns. Goddamn key rats feel there’s something to gripe about because they’re not over there wiping their privates with the sandwiches anymore. They’re making a god honest effort and that should be appreciated. They even got those goddamn umbrellas out there, not that you sons of bitches deserve them.

As long as the super burger and monster burger are still on the menu, I’m happy

Though highly aggressive, Ron makes well founded points. I stopped eating at the “old” Oasis because the restaurant was gross and I hated the service. Took, pretty much, a never-going-back stance. Since the ownership changed, my stance has certainly softened as I hear about the hated upgrades of cleanliness and presentability that bring the basics of a restaurant up to par.
There isn’t a god damn thing I eat on either menu, but that’s not their fault.

I won’t blow his cover but I’ll just say that Ron is not some random guy and he’s full of shit in that he doesn’t actually feel as strongly about the issue as he seems, nor does he ever patronize Oasis. He probably hasn’t even experienced the changes.
Basically, a troll. I appreciate a random funny comment every once in a while, but I won’t put up with random people baiting responses.

I’m always a fan of change. The place looks cleaner, and they added women to the staff.

The girl at the counter smiled at me the other day. Soon she will know my name. And not long after that, the Oasis will still be the Oasis, if that’s what the sign says. Things change, like sidewalks, people, establishments, etc, etc… even on the Key… Here’s a suggestion, start a Happy Hour in the back corner. Their coolers are STILL among the coldest on the island.

Well, that settles it, I guess. You all love the Oasis even more than before. I’ll be sure to pass it on that they should keep making changes.

I’ve always felt that the Oasis was an outpost of Little Havana restaurant culture. Tasty food combined with Jet fuel coffee at low prices, and all this on the key! I’ll admit the place looked a little dingy, but after hundreds of pan con bistecs and media noches

…continued…..I never experienced food poisoning, and that’s more than I can say for at least one other (now gone) establishment on the key with a more polished image. I admit that the place needed some renovation, but I hope this doesn’t cause our oasis to dry up under the scorching heat of key gentrification.
